The pieces are inspired by nature in general, but particularly the gaunt and graceful shapes of the gorse and other native plants in the hedgerows and coastlines of West Wales.

 

Jude Riley, Marbling Artist

My work is influenced by the three great marbling traditions of the world, and much of my recent work has been based on a fusion of traditional European marbling with Suminagashi.

Origin is a co-operative of makers and artists from Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Swansea and Ceredigion with its shop based in the busy market town of Carmarthen. In the shop you will find a wide range of high quality handcrafted ceramics, glass, jewellery, metal, textiles, wood and cards as well as a wide range of original art work and prints.
