Graham Hadlow

Artist in watercolour

A Yorkshireman by birth, Graham studied Creative Design at Loughborough College of Education. In 1970 he joined the staff at Greenhill School, Tenby where he taught ceramics, being appointed Head of Art and Design in 1986.

Art has always played an important part in Graham’s life, but it was not until 1988 that he began to devote more of his leisure time to painting, inspired by the attractive and varied landscape of South West Wales. Having achieved some success with his work, he took the decision in 1998 to leave teaching in order to concentrate full-time on his painting.

His subjects are wide-ranging but Graham has a particular affection for boats and estuaries with wide skies playing their part in producing atmospheric watercolours.

Graham has had several one-man exhibitions at various venues in Pembrokeshire as well as exhibiting widely in Wales and England.
