Joanna Kingston

Esgair Fibres specialises in hand-spun fibres from Wales. Using fleece from local Alpaca, mohair and silk, I hand spin and create original knits resulting in luxuriously soft scarves and hats in a rainbow of colours.

I am a felt artist with a passion for creating colourful, vibrant felt ‘paintings,’ inspired by a love of the natural world.

My name is Karen Vosmer, I am a Textile artist local to Carmarthenshire, and I create quality one-off scarves, accessories and other products using fine merino wool and silks

 

Helen Mountstevens

Welsh recycling at it’s best! Helen produces high quality, one-off bags and purses, from repurposed, vintage tapestry Welsh wool. Each original tapestry garment, bolt of cloth is sourced by Helen, washed, taken apart by hand, steamed, pressed and then using a mix of complimentary fabrics and linings, lovingly created into unique contemporary bags and purses.

COVID-19 Update

We have worked hard to make our shop safe, with a hand sanitiser at the entrance and a screen around the till area at. Face coverings are welcome for those that wish to wear them.

Origin is a co-operative of makers and artists from Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Swansea and Ceredigion with its shop based in the busy market town of Carmarthen. In the shop you will find a wide range of high quality handcrafted ceramics, glass, jewellery, metal, textiles, wood and cards as well as a wide range of original art work and prints.
