Fine Art

My work is connected to Wales and the endlessly inspiring coastal landscape where I live.  Since graduating art school in 2012 (BA Hons/Fine Art/Printmaking) I have moved from Cardiff to the Ceredigion coast and set up an Art Studio on the outskirts of Llangrannog and have now been a full time Artist since 2018.  I specialise in Printmaking and Acrylic painting, Print techniques include Collagraph, etching, mono-print and drypoint printing.

My paintings are less about a particular place or view and more about the atmosphere, stories, textures and patterns of my coastal home.  Fascinated by ancient Welsh legends, primarily Cantre'r Gwaelod, my paintings convey a sense of the mysterious world that once existed here and it’s connection to the world above.  Each painting is created with many layers of acrylic paint, mixed media, and time.

COVID-19 Update

We have worked hard to make our shop safe, with a hand sanitiser at the entrance and a screen around the till area at. Face coverings are welcome for those that wish to wear them.

Origin is a co-operative of makers and artists from Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Swansea and Ceredigion with its shop based in the busy market town of Carmarthen. In the shop you will find a wide range of high quality handcrafted ceramics, glass, jewellery, metal, textiles, wood and cards as well as a wide range of original art work and prints.
